มาทำความรู้จัก ฟันปลอมถอดได้ แบบใส่เฉพาะกาล(ใส่ชั่วคราวในช่วงถอนฟัน) เลือกยังไงดี?

เคสที่มีการถอนฟัน และต้องการใส่ฟันปลอม ตามทฤษฎี ภายหลังการถอนฟัน ประมาณ 1 เดือน คุณหมอจึงจะนัดคนไข้กลับมาทำฟันปลอมแบบต่างๆ

แต่ในเคสที่มีความจำเป็นต้องถอนฟันหน้า แต่คนไข้ต้องการมีฟันปลอมใส่ในระหว่างที่รอแผลหาย คุณหมอจะแนะนำให้ทำงานฟันปลอมถอดได้เพื่อใส่ชั่วคราวก่อน เมื่อแผลถอนฟันหายดี จึงแนะนำให้คนไข้กลับมาทำฟันปลอมชุดสุดท้ายใส่ ให้กระชับกับเหงือกที่หายดี หรือคนไข้สามารถที่จะเลือกใช้ฟันปลอมชิ้นเดิม เพื่อเสริมฐานฟันปลอมให้มีความกระชับกับเหงือกที่หายดี ก็สามารถทำได้เช่นกัน

ขั้นตอน 

นัดหมายครั้งที่ 1 คุณหมอจะทำการพิมพ์ปาก เพื่อส่งทำชิ้นงานฟันปลอม

นัดหมายครั้งที่ 2 ถอนฟัน และใส่ฟันปลอมชั่วคราว ที่ทำมา

นัดหมายครั้งที่ 3 (1 เดือนหลังจากถอนฟัน) ทำฟันปลอมชุดใหม่ หรือเสริมฐานฟันปลอมชุดเดิม

ประเภทที่ 1 ฟันปลอมถอดได้พลาสติกฐานแข็ง

เป็นพลาสติดฐานแข็ง มีส่วนของฐานฟันปลอมคลุมไปบนเพดาน ร่วมกับวางตะขอลวด แล้วแต่การออกแบบของคุณหมอตามสภาพช่องปากของคนไข้ วางไปที่ตำแหน่งฟันกรามด้านใน ไม่มีส่วนของตะขอฟันหน้า*** ราคาฟันปลอมชนิดนี้จะถูกกว่าชนิดฐานนิ่ม ที่จะกล่าวต่อไป

ประเภทที่ 2  งานฟันปลอมถอดได้พลาสติกฐานนิ่ม

ฟันปลอมพลาสติกฐานนิ่ม หรือวอลพลาสต์ ซึ่งฟันปลอมนี้ไม่มีส่วนของฐาน แต่มีส่วนของตะขอที่มีสีชมพูเหมือนเหงือก  คนไข้สามารถรับรู้ความอูมของตะขอบริเวณนี้ได้ แต่มีขนาดที่เล็กกว่าฟันปลอมฐานพลาสติกแข็ง และมีราคาที่สูงกว่า

Cases Involving Tooth Extraction and the Need for DenturesAccording to standard clinical principles, after a tooth extraction, the dentist typically waits approximately one month before scheduling the fabrication of a denture, allowing the extraction site to heal adequately.However, in cases where anterior teeth must be extracted and the patient wishes to have a replacement tooth during the healing period, the dentist will recommend a temporary removable denture to be worn initially. Once the extraction site has healed properly, the patient is advised to return for fabrication of the final denture, which will fit more closely and securely to the healed gingiva. Alternatively, the patient may choose to continue using the original denture and have the denture base relined to improve its fit to the healed gum tissue.

Treatment Steps

• Appointment 1:
  The dentist takes dental impressions to fabricate the removable denture.
• Appointment 2:
  Tooth extraction is performed, and the temporary denture is inserted on the same day.
• Appointment 3 (approximately 1 month after extraction):
  Fabrication of a new final denture or relining of the existing denture to improve adaptation.

Type 1: Removable Denture with Hard Acrylic Base

This type of denture is made from hard acrylic plastic. The denture base extends onto the palate and is retained with metal clasps, depending on the dentist’s design and the patient’s oral condition. The clasps are typically placed on posterior teeth, with no visible clasps on the anterior teeth.

This type of denture is generally more affordable than the flexible-base denture described below.

Type 2: Removable Denture with Flexible Base

This is a flexible-base removable denture, commonly known as Valplast. This type of denture does not have a rigid acrylic base; instead, it features flexible, pink-colored clasps that blend with the gingiva. Patients may feel slight fullness in the clasp area, but the appliance is generally smaller and more comfortable than hard acrylic dentures.

This option is more expensive than hard acrylic base dentures.
