Case Review: Post and Crown Restoration for an Anterior Tooth – The Crown Dental Clinic, KoratThis case involved a close friend of the dentist. The anterior tooth was discolored as a result of long-standing root canal treatment. Radiographic examination confirmed that the root canal filling material was in good condition, with no signs of periapical pathology. Intraoral examination showed no clinical signs of infection.Crown restoration was recommended to improve both the color and shape of the tooth. In addition, gingival recontouring (crown lengthening) was advised to increase the visible length of the tooth and achieve a gingival level more harmonious with the adjacent teeth, thereby enhancing the overall esthetic outcome of the final crown.For this case, the dentist selected an all-ceramic crown. The gingival margin after contouring was positioned slightly lower than that of the adjacent teeth. The final shade was acceptable and well balanced with the neighboring teeth. The patient was satisfied with the result and expressed a high level of happiness with the outcome.
