คนไข้มีฟันน้ำนมเหลือในปากและมีหนอง 2 ซี่ฟันหน้าล่าง โดยจากภาพเอ็กซ์เรย์ไม่พบหน่อฟันแท้ ณ ตำแหน่งนี้ คุณหมอพิจารณาถอนฟันน้ำนมออก แล้วใส่ฟันปลอมถอดได้พลาสติกฐานนิ่ม (วอลพลาสต์) ใส่ทดแทนฟันหน้าล่างที่ถอนออกไป ต่อมา คนไข้ต้องการปรึกษาจัดฟัน เพื่อปิดช่องว่างฟันหน้า 

อธิบายผลกระทบที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นได้หากลองที่จะปิดช่องว่างบริเวณนี้ มีโอกาสที่ฟันหน้าจะยุบหรือล้มเข้าดันในได้ แต่ลดแนวโน้มการเกิดปัญหาดังกล่าวได้บ้าง อีกปัญหาที่พบได้ การเคลื่อนฟันหน้าล่าง ที่ช่องกว้างมาก แรงที่ใช้เคลื่อนถ้ามากเกินไปที่ฟันจะทนได้ เสี่ยงที่ฟันหน้าจะช็อคตายได้ คนไข้รับทราบ และยืนยันที่จะเข้ารับการรักษาด้วยการจัดฟัน

ณ ปัจจุบัน คนไข้ถอดเครื่องมือจัดฟัน และใส่รีเทนเนอร์เรียบร้อย กลับมาเช็คฟัน ปรับรีเทนเนอร์ตามระยะอย่างสม่ำเสมอทุกปี

The patient acknowledged these risks and chose to proceed with orthodontic treatment.After completing the orthodontic treatment, the patient successfully removed the braces and now wears a retainer. Regular follow-ups are scheduled annually to adjust and maintain the retainer, ensuring long-term stability.
